Asia Carrera can arguably be called the first asian superstar, having won the 1994 AVN award for Female performer of the year. Of Japanese and German descent, Asia got her start in 1993 when director Bud Lee first discovered her from previous nude photo layouts she did. He invited her to LA for some video shoots and that as they say is history. Other than her sexual skills she also is quite intelligent and is reputed to be a member of MENSA, a high IQ organization. She also has musical talent and is quite accomplished in classical piano having played Carnegie Hall two times in her teens. Asia retired from Porn when she met and married her husband to start a family though she kept her official website up. Tragically her husband passed away in a traffic accident in June of 2006. Our hearts go out to her and we wish her and the kids the best.
