Kiko Wu was born in Xinghui in the province of Guangdong (Canton), People's Republic of China. She spent most of her childhood in Hong Kong before moving as a preteen to New York, where she still lives. She still goes to school part time to work towards an advanced degree. Since she opened her website (kikowu.com) in August of '99 it has become very successful. She no longer dances and now spends most of her time working on the site.
